Cook Job Description

Job Summary:
The Yee-Haw Brewing Cook will efficiently prepare and cook food in a fast-casual concept. Customer satisfaction is a primary goal.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare foods that are cooked to order or kept warm until ordered and sold; this may include such food items as hamburgers, fried chicken, tacos, etc.
  • May operate large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers.
  • Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked.
  • Prepares and cooks food according to instructions provided on food order slips or through verbal directions; verifies the quality and quantity of all orders.
  • Multitasks by cooking several menu items at once, ensuring that all items are prepared in accordance with customer instructions and health department standards.
  • Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.

Education and Experience:

  • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics, such as food safety, is preferred.
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods during work shifts.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and lift.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.

Job Summary:
We’re now looking for a Kitchen Supervisor for Yee-Haw Brewing’s specialty items. Join a team of hardworking, dedicated individuals on a mission to create a clean, efficient, and enjoyable workspace. This is a high-volume brewery looking for an experienced supervisor with a positive standing history in restaurants ready to put out food and uphold standards to our chef’s standards. Full availability is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Experience level:

  • 4 years

Pay rate:

  • Hourly pay

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Night shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Cooking: 4 years (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Required)
  • Night Shift (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Greenville, SC: Relocate before starting work (Required)
